Young Filmmakers' Lab
Where imagination becomes cinema!

The Young Filmmaker's Lab is a space where children explore the world of film in a creative and fun way.
Through hands-on workshops, they learn to invent stories, write scripts, act, direct, shoot, and edit their own short films.
The goal is simple: to spark imagination, encourage teamwork, and give each participant the confidence to tell their own story on screen.
Our filmmaking workshops are held at CAISL (Carlucci American International School of Lisbon) and OIS (Oeiras International School) as an extracurricular activity.
We also offer summer camps during school breaks.

Semi-professional Gear
Why Cinema?
Critical Thinking
During filming, they face challenges, make decisions and find creative solutions, developing autonomy and reasoning.
Digital Literacy
The workshops develop digital skills, with practical experience using modern filming equipment and techniques.
Responsibility
We use semi-professional equipment that requires care, attention and a sense of responsibility.
Planning
Creating a film requires preparation: planning scenes, props, and angles helps kids turn ideas into action.
Narrative
By writing and filming stories, children learn how to structure a narrative and tell stories visually.
Creative Expression
Cinema allows children to express ideas and emotions in unique and creative ways through imagery and storytelling.
Teamwork
Every role is important! Like a puzzle, the film takes shape when everyone collaborates with trust and respect.
Collaboration
Filmmaking is about teamwork. Children learn to communicate, listen, and cooperate to bring their stories to life.
