Social Projects
At Lêleh Land | Books & Creative Hub we believe social initiatives play a vital role in community engagement and giving back to the community. These initiatives promote important values like literacy and education, fostering awareness and inspiring community involvement in addressing social issues.
Os Nossos Desejos
"Os Nossos Desejos" is Make-A-Wish's first solidarity book. In a delightful way, this story takes Make-A-Wish's mission to all Portuguese families, fully contributing to fulfilling the wishes of seriously ill children.
This is the story of three brave children: Dudu, Mimi and Lucas, who see their big wishes come true with the help of the Make-A-Wish's Wish Fairies. They discover the power of wish fulfillment and the importance of believing that nothing is impossible.

Contos por Carta
We have partnered with the innovative project Contos por Carta to create a program for Acreditar Coimbra. Our pilot program at Acreditar will test the project before we request funding. Contos por Carta will send a pack of 5 letters, telling the story of the Keeper of Dreams, to children undergoing cancer treatments and staying at Acreditar Coimbra.
The Keeper of Dreams
The Dream Guardian's letters invite the child to project themselves into the future. Anticipation for a new letter gives the child something worth waiting for and investing in, combating discouragement. The letters prompt action, providing purpose and fostering closer connections with those around them, combating loneliness and creating space for new bonds and relationships. Reflection on dreams reinforces the possibility of the future, nurturing hope. Acting as a sort of time capsule, the letters urge the child to bring the distant future into the present, making both themselves and those around them aware of the enriching value of dreams. The opportunity to share and nurture dreams gives the child a new purpose, renewing their interest in life and their potential to contribute to the world.
This project is based on a short story written by Sofia Caessa and it will be adapted to this new format. The story will also be published as a picture book because all kids deserve to dream!
